The 2019 ADR Conference, Induction & 20th Anniversary Dinner of the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators (ICMC) themed “ICMC at 20: A trajectory of Mediation Practice and Grassroots Conflict Transformation in Nigeria”, is scheduled to hold on the 3rd of December, 2019 in Abuja.
Hon. Justice Esther A. Edigin, a High Court Judge of the Edo State Judiciary, will be speaking in the panel session on the theme.
Honourable Justice Esther Amenaghawon Edigin was born on the 17th of May 1956.
She graduated with a law degree and was called to the Nigerian bar in 1979. She practiced law for several years before being appointed into the Judiciary as a Magistrate in Kano.
Honourable Justice Edigin was later appointed Chief Magistrate in the then Bendel State. In 1999, She was appointed Chief Registrar of the Edo State Judiciary and then in the year 2001, She was appointed a High Court Judge.
The Honourable Justice Esther Edigin has served as Member in Election Tribunal Committee for both State and National Assembly and Governorship elections.
She has also served two terms as a Member of the Governing Council of the Baptist School of Theology.
She is a certified Mediator and Conciliator and has presided in mediation sessions. She is a strong advocate of effective justice delivery through ADR.
Honourable Justice Edigin has travelled several parts of the world and taken parts in International Conferences in furthering the course of Justice and Fairness.
She is passionate about working out! Reconciling the body and soul in the enhancement of physical wellness and peace of mind.
She is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators (ICMC) and a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Chartered Arbitrators.
Among the many visions of the Honourable Justice Esther Amenaghawon Edigin is to establish in its best practice, Effective Justice Delivery System in the land
She is a devoted family woman, and a passionate grandmother.
