The Awka branch of the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators (ICMC), under the leadership of High Chief Barr. Aniazoka M.C. Zokas, FICMC, congratulated Hon. Justice Onochie Anyachebelu on his appointment as Chief Judge of Anambra State.
While extending this heartfelt congratulatory message, Chief Zokas, on behalf of the Awka branch, expressed his appreciation of the ongoing efforts of the Judiciary to embrace the practice of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR).
Chief Zokas highlighted the need for ADR capacity building for Judicial Officers and staff of the State Judiciary, to support the already existing efforts towards advancing the practice of ADR in the State.
In accordance with the mandate of the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators to regulate the practice of Mediation, train prospective ADR Practitioners and encourage organizations and institutions to adopt Mediation and Conciliation as the primary means for addressing disputes, the ICMC Awka branch Chairman declared the support of the branch to the Judiciary in the acquisition of ย ADR skills through ICMC accreditation and certification training, sensitization workshops, and other professional services.Chief Zokas stated that the branch firmly believes that Hon. Justice Anyachebelu will acquit himself credibly in the challenging office of Chief Judge, taking into consideration his outstanding record as a Judge all these years.
The leadership and membership body of the branch assure the Chief Judge of their support in the collective efforts to evolve a better Judiciary in Anambra State.
