On Wednesday, 8th May 2025, the Registrar of the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators (ICMC) had the honour of hosting a delegation from the National Youth Liberation for Good Governance (NYLGG) who paid a courtesy visit to his office.
The NYLGG delegation was led by its National President, Paul Edoh Gabriel, accompanied by Nathaniel Garba, Vice President; Aminat Ola, Secretary; and Zainab Abdullahi Dass, Director of Gender. They were warmly received at the ICMC Mediation House by the Registrar and ICMC staff present.
In his welcome address, the Registrar warmly received the delegates and emphasized the pivotal role ICMC has played in advancing peacebuilding and mediation across Nigeria. He highlighted the Institute’s unwavering commitment to equipping professionals with essential conflict resolution skills through robust training and certification programs. He further noted that the Institute also serves as the professional body for promoting the adoption of mediation by organizations and institutions as a primary tool for resolving disputes.

Responding on behalf of NYLGG, President Paul Edoh Gabriel expressed gratitude for the warm reception they received. He explained that NYLGG was founded on a strong desire to promote good governance and youth inclusion in governance. He also expressed the organization’s interest in forging a strategic partnership with the Institute for mutual benefit.
The President of NYLGG also presented an award in recognition of Mr. Oyefeso’s dedication to humanity, youth development, and ethical leadership and inducted him into the organization’s Hall of Fame.
In his acceptance remarks, the Registrar expressed appreciation for the award and pledged to serve as a mentor and advocate for youth empowerment initiatives championed by NYLGG.As a gesture of goodwill, the Institute presented gifts to the visiting delegates.
The meeting concluded with a group photograph, marking a moment of shared inspiration, collaboration, and a renewed commitment to youth-focused development and peacebuilding.
