Meet the ICMC YMF Branch Coordinators

In 2019, the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators introduced the ICMC Young Mediators Forum (YMF), a community for ICMC Members under the age of thirty-five (35). It has been created to foster a community for young thriving Mediators, provide a platform for communication and networking among members, and building bonds of mentorship between our more senior experienced Mediators and our young Mediators with little or no ADR practice experience. 

The Institute currently has twenty-one branches spread across the nation. The Governing Council has appointed the following individuals to serve as the ICMC YMF Branch Coordinators for their respective branches:

Aladetimehin Esther Abosede: ICMC Akure Branch

Aladetimehin Esther Abosede is a consummate legal practitioner with flair for strengthening child welfare, gender equity and the inviolability of human rights through both law-suits and public advocacy.She has a reputation as a dexterous mediator-cum-legal practitioner who employs mediation tools for resolving inscrutable matrimonial conflicts and family disputes. She hopes to launch in the nearest future a state-wide campaign for religious leaders, legal practitioners and judicial officers, social workers, children and family welfare experts and gender activists to embrace professional utilization of mediation for resolving matrimonial and family conflicts. The pioneer YMF-ICMC Akure Branch Coordinator has attended numerous professional conferences, seminars, capacity development training on mediation, human rights and social justice. She is the treasurer of Adekunle Ajasin University Alumni Association, Akure Chapter and Treasurer, Young lawyer’s forum, Akure branch.

Ruth Emethilue: ICMC Asaba Branch

RUTH O. EMETHILUE holds her first degree in Bachelor of Science.
She’s a dedicated and progressive worker who has handled several leadership positions in reputable Organizations.
She was a pioneer staff at the Delta State Multi-Door Court (DSMDC) in 2015 and was a Case Manager in some of the first cases.
Presently the Office Manager at the ICMC Asaba ADR Center being skillful in human resource, administrative and managerial responsibilities.
She is a Fellow of the Institute, a Certified Trainer and Family Mediator Specialist.
Also a Member; Nigerian Institute of Science Laboratory Technologist (NISLT).
She has Certifications from trainings on Mediation and Dialogue.
RUTH O. EMETHILUE finds fulfilment in meeting and helping others solve problems.

Chile Christian Woke: ICMC Port Harcourt Branch

Chile Christian Woke, is a graduate of Rivers State University, Port Harcourt and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2012.
He worked as a corporate Associate/Consultant with I.C. Mpamugoh & Co.,(Port Harcourt) between 2013 and 2014 and was a Solicitor/Researcher in Kings Law Office, Port Harcourt, from 2015 to 2017. He has served the Nigerian Bar Association in various capacities, namely;
a) Provost and Welfare Secretary respectively of the Young Lawyers’ Forum (YLF), Port Harcourt Branch.
b) National Welfare Secretary of the Young Lawyers’ Forum (YLF).
He is an Associate Member of ICMC and currently, the coordinator of the Young Meditators Forum (YMF) Port Harcourt Branch.
He is happily married to Ununuma Ideozu Chile-Woke.

Obanor Osariemen Chiamaka: ICMC Benin Branch

Current Job Title– Senior State Counsel at the Edo State Ministry of Justice
Previous Employment-Junior Associate at Ama Etuwewe, SAN & Co
Degree Obtained – LLB, BL
Tertiary Institution Attended- University of Benin, Benin City
Profession- Legal Practitioner Called to the Nigerian Bar in the year 2016

Omowunmi Sarah Rotimi-Williams: ICMC Ibadan Ibadan Branch

Omowunmi Sarah Rotimi-Williams is a member of the Ibadan branch of the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators. She is a Graduate of the University of Ibadan with a B. A in Communication and Language Arts and a M. A in Peace and Conflict Studies. She is an Associate Member of the Institute and this has exposed her to assisting the executives of Ibadan branch in quite a number of trainings. She is also an Associate Member of Society For Peace Studies and Practice, a body that promotes peace and conflict resolution.

Emmanuella Amaefula: ICMC Enugu Branch

Emmanuella Nneamaka Amaefule is a Mediator and Conciliator. Trained by the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators (ICMC), she has special interest in child welfare, as well as family mediation.
She is the founder and the executive director of BOLD International, a non governmental organization which specializes in helping teenagers discover their purpose in life and taking children off the street.
She is a Christian and has served as an administrator and finance director at Beautiful ministries international church, Awka and Enugu branches respectively.
She is currently the Training and Communication Officer at PENS and VOICES Mediation and Dispute Resolution Centre, Enugu.
An Associate of the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators, Emmanuella holds a Diploma in Mass communication and is presently pursuing a law degree at the University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus.
A regular participant in the weekly Girly Girly Show, a chit chat program for young Ladies, Emmanuella serves as the Program Officer to Freedom Square and Freedom Square Extra, one of the most listened to political cum sociocultural Radio programs, east of the Niger.

Sixtus Chuka Okolie: ICMC Onitsha Branch

Sixtus is a Law graduate of Madonna University. He was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2015 and is currently an Associate at F.A.R. Obi-Okafor and Associates.

He is an Associate Member of the Institute.

Ukwa Chukwudi: ICMC Abakaliki Branch

Chukwudi is a 400 Level Student of the Ebonyi State University. He is a member of the Abakaliki Branch of ICMC and an Associate Member of the Institute.

Babayemi Olaniyan: ICMC Abuja Branch

Babayemi Olaniyan is a legal practitioner. He was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2015. His core areas of interest are Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and Corporate/Commercial Law practice. He is respected for his practical understanding of corporate law.

He is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators (ICMC), an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK), an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria, and a Certified Dispute Resolution Specialist

It is important to state that the ICMC YMF is not an autonomous group within the Institute. Membership of the YMF is voluntary, and interested members will not be expected to pay any form of mandatory dues, levies, or subscription to this community. Activities of the YMF will be supervised and supported by the ICMC YMF Programme Coordinator, the National Executive Committee and Branch Chairpersons.

The YMF Coordinators will serve for a period of two years and work together to coordinate the activities of the YMF, which includes, but is not limited to; planning mini-seminars, workshops and training programs, seeking out collaborations beneficial to the young members of the Institute.
