“…With love and strength and faith…To serve with heart and might…In love and honesty to grow…”
Excerpts from the Nigerian National Anthem
Today, we honour our leaders of times past who made untold sacrifices to see Nigeria become an independent nation. They did this all for love of country.
All citizens of Nigeria, both young and old, must accept that Nigeria is our country. Nigeria belongs to us. We are all worth considerable value to our great nation and must do well to remember that our individual actions affect our country as a whole. Garbage dumped by the roadside today may lead to an illegal waste pit tomorrow.
The Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators (ICMC), as a corporate citizen of Nigeria and an institution solely dedicated to Dispute Avoidance/Resolution and Peacebuilding, reaffirms her love for her country Nigeria. The Leadership and entire membership body of the Institute reaffirms their commitment to spreading the good news of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) as effective means for conflict resolution, as well as utilizing their unique Mediation skills in strengthening relationships, helping to build better families, and by extension, build better societies and a greater nation.
ICMC calls on her fellow countrymen and women to join her today as she pledges to Nigeria her country, to be faithful, loyal and honest, to serve Nigeria with all her strength, to defend her unity, and uphold her honour and glory.
Fellow Nigerians, embrace your love of country.
Happy Independence Day Nigerians. Happy 59th Nigeria. God bless us all.
This is a well organized structure that will go a long way to foster peace and harmony in and around the world. I celebrate with the team and hope to be part someday.
